Julia Martin
I qualified at the Coventry School of Physiotherapy in 1980.
I then worked in St Mary’s Hospital, Newport on the Isle of Wight, Crawley and Horsham Hospitals. In 1984 I returned to Worthing and worked in a senior position in the outpatient department and on medical and surgical wards.
In 1990 I moved into private practice and have worked at Goring since 1999.
Since 1983 I have also treated horses and currently specialise in treating dogs and cats via veterinary surgeon referral.
The areas of physiotherapy that interest me most are:
- Musculoskeletal conditions including back and neck pain
- Postural and work related problems
- Sports injuries
- Rehabilitation following injury and surgery
- Chronic pain management
I am a Category A member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and a member of the Physiotherapy Pain Association.
I attend regular post graduate courses.
