Physiotherapy treatment on kneePhysiotherapy plays an important role in healing, pain relief and rehabilitation helping muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints recover from injury.

We aim to help your body regain its normal level of daily activity with confidence and help you try and prevent re-injury.

Physiotherapy can help:

  • Neck pain/injuries with or without arm pain

  • Sports and muscular/tendon/ligament injuries
  • Joint problems
  • Work related injuries
  • Following fracture, joint replacement and other surgery

Your Treatment

Physiotherapy arm and shoulder treatmentAt your first visit we will take a detailed history of your condition together with any relevant past medical history and carry out a physical assessment. We will then discuss our findings with you and together agree an effective treatment plan that takes into account your lifestyle, leisure activities and general health.

Treatment may include:

  • Mobilisation or manipulation
  • Electrotherapy e.g. ultrasound, interferential and laser
  • Rehabilitation
  • Exercises
  • Education and advice
  • Acupuncture

We also run Pilates classes and gym ball classes for beginners. These run over a six-week period with a maximum of 5 in a class (4 for gym ball). Booked through reception (subject to availability).

Physiotherapy is a two-way process and you should feel free to ask whatever questions you may have at any stage during your treatment.
